MingYang Smart Energy proudly introduces the MySE 18.X-20MW at its Shanwei manufacturing base, marking a milestone as the globe’s largest offshore wind turbine in capacity and rotor diameter, states the company. This unveiling underscores the company’s dedication to pioneering technology for deeper waters and delivering innovative, higher-powered solutions.

Key Features of MySE 18.X-20MW:

Evolved from the 14-16MW platforms, the MySE 18.X-20MW prioritizes modularity, lightweight design, high efficiency, and reliability.

Offers flexible power ratings between 18.X and 20MW, paired with rotor diameters spanning 260-292m, covering an expansive swept area equal to 9 soccer fields.

Boasts an annual generation capacity of 80 million kWh in Eastern Guangdong, supplying energy to 96,000 households and reducing CO2 emissions by 66,000 tonnes.

Engineered for global deployment in medium-to-high wind speed regions, particularly suitable for typhoon-prone sites, equipped with active anti-typhoon technology capable of withstanding Category 17 typhoons (56.1-61.2 m/s).

Manufactured domestically, including key components such as blades, gearboxes, generators, pitch systems, large castings, and control systems, bolstering a robust supply chain and advancing industry manufacturing capabilities.
