Offshore Wind farms in Estonia

Estonia has 47 offshore wind farm projects of which none currently operating, none where construction has progressed enough to connect the turbines and generate electricity, none are in the build phase, and none are either consented or have applied for consent. on project 'Saare Liivi 2' on Thursday, 07 December 2023, the following was announced: 'The Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority (CPTRA) have announced the auction for both Liivi 1 and Liivi 2 development zones. There are seven companies bidding over both areas, with Liivi 2 being the first auction to take place on the 7th December 2023 and Liivi 1 following on the 11th January 2024.

For Liivi 2, the auction will start on the 7th December at 12:00 (CET+2) and end on 13th December 2023 at 12:00 (CET+2). The starting price for this area is EUR 1,723,500 with a EUR 34,470 deposit. Bidders must make minimum bidding increments of EUR 50,000.

OÜ Utilitas Wind, Liivi Offshore OÜ, Aker Offshore Wind Europe GmbH, Viru Keemia Grupp AS, Sunly Wind OÜ, Edel Offshore Wind OÜ and UAB Ignitis renewables projektai 6 have qualified to bid in this auction and have a deadline of 30th November 2023 to submit their application to participate.'
