Albert Heijn announces its commitment to sourcing power from the upcoming Ecowende wind farm. This move should signifie the continuation of the partnership between Eneco and Albert Heijn, following the supermarket chain's prior transition to sustainable electricity from HollandseWind.

The strategic shift aligns with Albert Heijn's pursuit of achieving an emission-free supply chain by 2050. Ecowende's wind power, set to establish a wind park 53 kilometres off the coast of IJmuiden, will aim to significantly contribute to this ambition.

This progressive step in collaboration seamlessly integrates with the companies climate objective to achieve carbon neutrality by 2035, in conjunction with our valued customers.
